2009 Lincoln Mks Reviews
The 2009 Lincoln MKS has a new modern design which leads the technology in an understated luxurious package as an aspiration vehicle. This Lincoln MKS developed from the competent sturdy and safe platform used for the Taurus Volvo XC90 and many other products but still differentiates itself well from others. Using the imagination seeing the overall shape of the Taurus but noticeably bigger and really presents itself as a Lincoln. MKS shares the same wheel base although a bit longer and wider than Taurus.
From the front car parts of the 2009 Lincoln MKS is the beautiful splitwing grille inspired by the distinctive 41 Lincoln Continental. With the Lincoln badge the wings are separated by a few inches and that space is adorned. And for the contiguous graphical shape HID headlights wrap around gracefully and integrate into the grille.
Side windows are trimmed with an accent strip of polished stainless steel that widens as it flows rearward. Vertical LED taillights integrated with backup lights a forwardsloping deck lid with horizontal polished stainless steel trim including another Lincoln badge and chromed dual exhausts adorn the rear. The MKS outside or in is nothing ostentatious. The car parts interior is gracious and understated as well overall is a beautiful design.
The generous interior seating is soft doublestitched leather heated and cooled in front with 12way adjustment and heated in the rear is all standard. The next generation navigation system screen sits boldly at the top of the center stack.
The surface of the dash is done in richlooking ecofriendly leatherette that is doublestitched as well. A wood inserted at the top and brushed metal trim in the center for the leatherwrapped steering wheel. MSK has the largest interior volume at 105 cubicfeet and the largest trunk at 18.4 cubicfeet.
The trunk opening appears a bit restricted by the stylish rear lid but it does look cavernous inside. MKS keeps up with the pack in terms of safety. Six air bags protect everyone in the car including the side curtain.
Adaptive Collapsible Steering Column varies in collapsibility depending on the size and belted status of the driver. Occupant Classification System senses the size of a front seat occupant to determine air bag deployment strength. And the chassis dynamics are standard like ABS stability control and all that stuff.
At about 39000 the new MKS starts with frontwheel drive no nab and 18inch wheels. At around 48000 it tops out with everything. The 2009 Lincoln MKS will go on sale this summer late June or early July of 2008.
